As you may have heard yesterday, Homestead House Fusion Mineral Paint announced that Old Red Barn is no longer recognized as a distributor of Fusion Mineral Paint.
They have stated that, going forward, you will be forced to purchase your Fusion products through The Artist.
The Artist was recently founded by Goedele François and Jurgen Raedts, who left our company after working with us for many years.
We, the Old Red Barn team, are just as shocked by this news as you are.
Last summer, Old Red Barn was informed by Homestead that The Artist would be added as a European distributor of Fusion Mineral Paint and Homestead House products, with the assurance that Old Red Barn would remain a distributor.
However, Homestead has ceased distribution to Old Red Barn, and they have directly informed you, our valued retailers, that you should no longer place orders with us. This is both unjustified and completely unprecedented.
We are shocked by Homestead’s conduct and find it to be an unprofessional and inappropriate way to end a partnership that has been successful and trouble-free for many years. Up until now, Old Red Barn had no intention of discontinuing our service to you, our retailers.
The delivery of our last order of Fusion products has been delayed for almost three months, but we have finally been informed that we can expect it by the end of next week (5000 jars of paint). In the meantime, we still have a significant stock of Fusion products on hand. You can rest assured that we are able to continue supplying you with Fusion products for the time being.
We want to make it clear that you can continue to rely on Old Red Barn as your distributor, both now and in the future. In response to this situation, we are exploring alternative mineral paint brands of equal or better quality and price, and we will keep you informed about these developments.
